OF A NIGHT TURNED DARK
The stars came out to play
On a night some years ago.
This night would not stay
The night's beauty could be seen
Even though words spoke
And eyes shone
The stars lit the skies
Like an aurora wiggling with pride
Even though hearts started palpitating
Inwards palpitations
Everyone of a thousand steel blades
The piercings of which still feels sharp at thought
The night turned dark
Ironically, it made sense.
I was hoping against hope
As it could be said of every dream
What is love to you?
The night replied, "it is the sum total of all the stupid fancy things we think of put into one box, and without shame, we let it out, while all the time smiling like a sheepish fool."
The truth hurts. Just don't be the one needing the truth.
