A Promise of Tomorrow is a compelling story of hope, migration, disillusionment, and redemption. Ebube, a young Lagos trader frustrated by Nigeria’s economic hardship, insecurity, corruption, unemployment, and failing infrastructure, abandons his family’s advice and embarks on a dangerous journey through the Sahara Desert and across the sea to Europe in search of a better life. After surviving unimaginable hardship, loss, detention, and deportation, he returns home to discover that Nigeria has transformed under visionary leadership. Faced with the painful realization that he left just before the change he longed for, Ebube learns that sometimes the promise of a better tomorrow is found not by running away, but by having the courage to wait, rebuild, and believe.
